The Information Technology Council is dedicated to the continuous improvement of the facility management profession through exploration and analysis of technology tools, solutions and methods and educating and communicating these findings to the profession. Striving to utilize technology to support our work and our profession we, through the Information Technology Council, share triumphs as well as our lessons learned and information on new technology initiatives. The Council also supports IFMA in their information technology initiatives and the introduction of the technology competency. One of our most valuable tools to share information is the on-line community forum. It is web based discussion area to which council members may subscribe. Members post questions to their fellow subscribers, respond to questions, or just observe the electronic dialogue. The benefit of this form of communication is that members utilize it at their convenience, and have easy access to the knowledge shared in past discussions. |
